Claudius is a 21 y/o German director and cinematographer who studied film in Stockholm. His current works consist of narrative or conceptual short films, but also visual and short commercial and music-video style films. Having worked on highly visually-reliant pieces has informed his strong sense of cinematography and the visual language of film. Claudius has produced and worked on films in Stockholm and Germany and has assisted films in the US. Both of his latest short films "Astraphobia" (Writer/Director) and "Grow" (Cinematographer) are set to premiere internationally at film festivals. Astraphobia has earned its first festival selection at OSCAR/BAFTA Qualifying "Flickers' Rhode Island Film Festival". One of his next projects, apart from smaller commercial and conceptual projects, will be an approx. 10min narrative short film produced in Denver, Colarado with American director and photographer Bruce Tetsuya. The film is set to begin production during September 2022. Apart from his work within film itself Claudius is the founder of Framed Film, a film publication / blog with over 50K followers. Outside of work you'll find Claudius roaming the mountains, reading and drawing by the water and playing piano.
